Bilingualism Our role and our mission at the BILINGUAL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is to allow our students to follow English and French academic programs in an educational environment that is both stimulating and multicultural. Needs-based learning, attentive teaching methods, and individualized learner assessment allow each student, francophone or non-francophone, to receive the education that will best prepare them for a successful future. Becoming bilingual runs much deeper than communicating in different languages. It entails understanding the cultural values that surround a language. All of our teachers are certified and conduct classes in their native language. WITHIN A BILINGUAL CULTURAL CLIMATE students learn English naturally, benefitting from the language immersion method and certified, native English-speaking teachers. WE GUARANTEE A UNIQUE LEARNING EXPERIENCE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON INTEGRATION AND IMMERSION. The language immersion program starts as early as 2 years old. The day is split in two: half in French, the other half in English. ENGLISH OR FRENCH BEGINNERS Students who do not know French or English are accepted. THE ENGLISH PROGRAM follows the same curriculum found in British or American schools and uses the same teaching materials. The FRENCH ACADEMIC PROGRAM is enhanced and the school's academic standards are high. The same amount of hours of French, math, and history are taught as in French schools.
